Der Wahlberliner Chris Clark aka Clark<\/a> erschien erst 2001 mit Clarence Park <\/a>auf der Bildfl\u00e4che, eine Zeit in der es den typischen „Warp-Sound“ – als Definition eines eigenen IDM-Sounds – eigentlich schon lange nicht mehr gab: Abstrakte elektronische Texturen, warme analoge Fl\u00e4chen, herzzerrei\u00dfende Bleeps und darke Synth-Drones. <\/p>\n

Sein neues Album Turning Dragon [Vinyl]<\/a>\"\" h\u00e4ngt die Me\u00dflatte f\u00fcr experimentelle Musik aus dem Hause Warp<\/a> nochmal einige Meter h\u00f6her und geht gleichzeitig auf dem Dancefloor steil. Obwohl Chris Clark selber kaum ausgeht und lieber mit einem Sixpack Bier an seinem Posttechno-Entwurf dr\u00f6selt.<\/p>\n

\nDie Throttle Promoter [Vinyl]<\/a>\"\" gab ja schon einen ersten Eindruck und tats\u00e4chlich baut Turning Dragon<\/b> auf diesem Entwurf auf, der sehr viel sch\u00e4rfer ist als seine Vorg\u00e4nger-Alben. Auch Cut n‘ Paste-Techniken finden – wie in Truncation Horn<\/strong>– hier ihren Platz, aber der Sound driftet nie in nerdige Klangwelten ab, sondern beh\u00e4lt einen funky Twist.<\/p>\n
