Ich hatte in meinem letzten Post<\/a> – \u00fcber das Buch Words and Music von Paul Morley – schon den MashUp-Pastiche-Mix Raiding the 20th Century<\/strong> von DJ Food<\/a> erw\u00e4hnt, der quasi die musikalische Version des Buches von Morley darstellt und tats\u00e4chlich von einem Alvin Lucier-Sample er\u00f6ffnet und von Kylie Minogues ‚Can\u2019t Get You Out Of My Head‘<\/strong> beendet wird.<\/p>\n

Gleichzeitig fasst dieser Mix vieles, was auf der letztw\u00f6chigen Veranstaltung Recyling_Sampling_Jamming<\/b> verhandelt wurde, besser zusammen, als es eine minuti\u00f6se Wiedergabe der F\u00fclle an Vortr\u00e4gen, Diskussionen und Musikbeispielen leisten k\u00f6nnte. Strictly Kev<\/a> hat den Mix am 18ten Januar 2004 auf XFM’s The Remix Show<\/a> in London gesendet und damit einen auditiven Katalog der Geschichte der Cut-Up Musik erstellt. Part 1<\/strong> beginnt mit einem Rundumschlag bekannter Bastardpop Mash-Ups um den Sachverhalt vorzustellen und leitet \u00fcber zur Historie in Part 2<\/strong>: Avantgarde Tape Manipulation, Minimal Musik und Musique Concr\u00e8te. <\/p>\n

Part 3<\/strong> featured mit Turntable-Megamixen und Cut n‘ Paste-Tracks von u.v.a. Bomb The Bass, Coldcut, M\/A\/R\/R\/S, Mantronix und Steinski die Old School der Samplekunst, w\u00e4hrend Part 4<\/strong> gewisserma\u00dfen die New School repr\u00e4sentiert. Part 5<\/strong> stellt dann die Synthese in Form popul\u00e4rer Bastardpop Mash-Ups – wie in Part 1 angerissen – dar.<\/p>\n
