Felix Kubin ist irgendwie sowas wie der justified ancient of Holger Hiller. Oder nein, vielleicht doch Kraftwerk? Und dann hat er ja diesen Swing gemacht, wie passt das jetzt da rein? Ein kluger Mann hat ihn sogar mal einen &#8222;deutschen Elvis&#8220; genannt. Irgendwie passt da gar nichts zusammen und die Kunstfigur Kubin &#8211; mit ihrem ganzen schr\u00e4gen Robot-Funk &#8211; funktioniert wie jemand der eigentlich nicht in diese Zeit geh\u00f6rt. Ob das jetzt die F\u00fcnfziger, oder die Achtziger sind oder ob er direkt aus der Zukunft kommt wei\u00df ich auch nicht. Das ist uns damals nicht wirklich gelungen, aber immerhin habe ich davon getr\u00e4umt, da\u00df uns der K\u00f6hncke produzieren w\u00fcrde. Nun ist House nicht unbedingt meins, aber in K\u00f6ln kommt man eben auch kaum an Kompakt vorbei. Und schon gar nicht an K\u00f6hncke, der ja letztens auf diesem Can-Panel von Weilerswist erz\u00e4hlte und wie er dort mit Whirlpool aufgenommen hat. Das hat mich durchaus noch mehr f\u00fcr ihn eingenommen und so finde ich auch auf seinem Album zumindest so viel, als da\u00df mir daf\u00fcr die einengende Begrifflichkeit fehlt. Das klingt jetzt vielleicht dumm, aber es ist so: f\u00fcr mich ist diese Disko-Musik relevanter als der 10.
