But as Tegmark is a professor of physics i should have known better. While Tegmarks insights are often quite fascinating, the ideas in the book often seem too far-fetched. Its Tegmarks secret sauce to watch everything through the eyes of hard sciences (e.g. in his book &#8222;Our Mathematical Universe&#8220;), but applying only the constraints of physics to the future of AI and mankind creates some shallow and anaemic narratives. Frightening at times, as well. Worth reading, tho.
