Quantum Suicide – IDFA 2014 Edition

Quantum Suicide is a sci-fi transmedia project consisting of a novel, a webfiction series and an online game.

Logline:
The future of psychiatry is in your head

Synopsis:
The thirtysomething Paul Damron finds himself stuck in a future dystopia. Beirut and Damaskus have transformed into an urban sprawl where religions, convictions and worldviews collide. Hired by a sinsiter man he calls „the janitor“ and his colleague – the breathtaking beauty Linda Bergstrøm – he stumbles through this megalopolis without memories of the past. Over and above his landlord – a rabbi – begins to bug him with episodes of the jewish kabbala. Eventually it begins to dawn on Paul that something is severly wrong. At this point the life of Paul – that appears to be just one of many slightly altered episodes – comes to an end.

Transmedia Concept:
The novel Quantum Suicide introduces the world of Paul and eventually explains the secret behind Pauls story … It also offers an end that is quite fatal. But … LET’S NOT SPOIL HERE!
The Webfiction introduces six additional episodes that offer an more satisfying loop hole for Paul.
In the Online Game the user has to find hints to the mysterious hitech company Quantum Immo and help Paul to get out of this adventure without severe consequences.
